Joe A. Raver

President and Chief Executive Officer

Joe A. Raver has served as a director and as President and Chief Executive Officer of Hillenbrand since September 2013. He has served as President of the Company’s Process Equipment Group since March 2011. Mr. Raver was elected as a director of Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc. (“AIT,”) a leading industrial distributor serving MRO and OEM customers in virtually every industry in August 2017. In October 2017, Mr. Raver was appointed to both the Audit and the Corporate Governance committees of AIT. He previously served as President of Batesville Casket Company from 2008 to 2011.

He also previously served as Vice President and General Manager of the respiratory care division of Hill-Rom Holdings (“Hill-Rom,” f/k/a Hillenbrand Industries, Inc.), a leading global provider of medical equipment and services and the Company’s former parent, as well as Hill-Rom’s Vice President of Strategy and Shared Services. Prior to that, Mr. Raver spent 10 years in a variety of leadership positions at Batesville Casket Company and Hill-Rom.

Kristina A. Cerniglia

Kristina A. Cerniglia

Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Kristina Cerniglia has been Hillenbrand’s Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer since August 2014. She also oversees the Company’s DME & Cimcool businesses. Ms. Cerniglia has more than 30 years of industrial experience and, since December 2018, has also served on the Board of Directors, including the Audit and Compensation Committees, of Littelfuse, Inc., a global manufacturer of leading technologies in circuit protection, power control, and sensing. Since 2019, she has been on the Board of Directors of Margaret Mary Health, a not-for-profit critical access hospital providing inpatient and outpatient services. Ms. Cerniglia serves on the Finance Committee.

Before assuming the role as Hillenbrand’s Chief Financial Officer, she spent 17 years serving in a variety of leadership roles, most recently as Vice President and Corporate Controller (2010-2014), at Stanley Black & Decker, a global provider of power and hand tools, mechanical access solutions, and electronic monitoring systems. Prior to that, she spent nine years of her career at United Technologies Corporation in various financial roles.

Ling An-Heid

President of Mold-Masters

Ling An-Heid has been President of Mold-Masters since 2017. Before then, she served as President of Mold-Masters Americas and Asia from 2013 to 2017. Ms. Heid joined the Applications Design Group at Mold-Masters in 1991 and was instrumental in developing the region as president of Mold-Masters Asia until 2013.

Before Mold-Masters, she served as a General Manager and legal representative of Beijing Plastic Mechanical Co Ltd. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics Mechanical Engineering from the Beijing Chemical University and also holds an EMBA from the Rotman School of Management in Toronto.

She acts as the Vice Director of the China Die and Mold Industry Association.

Bhavik N. Soni

Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Bhavik Soni has been Hillenbrand’s Vice President, Chief Information Officer since May 2017, and was promoted to the Company’s Executive Management Team in May 2019. Mr. Soni joined the Company from Honda Aircraft Company, where he served as Chief Information Officer – IT & Engineering Systems Division from 2015 to 2017.

Prior to that, he served as Chief Information Officer for Artificial Lift, GE Oil & Gas at General Electric Company (“GE”) from 2013 to 2015, preceded by fifteen years in other information technology-related roles of increasing responsibility at GE. Mr. Soni’s experience prior to GE included software engineering roles at Rockwell Collins, Inc. and General Dynamics Corporation.

Nicholas R. Farrell

Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer

Nicholas (Nick) Farrell is Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer of Hillenbrand. Mr. Farrell began his career with the Company in 2011 and served in various roles in the Company’s Legal Department until being named General Counsel in 2015, and Chief Compliance Officer in 2016.

Prior to joining Hillenbrand, Mr. Farrell was in private practice for six years with global law firm Troutman Sanders.

Mr. Farrell is also Chair of the Board of Cure SMA, an international not-for-profit organization committed to developing a cure for spinal muscular atrophy, the number one genetic cause of death in infants. 

Peter S. Dyke

Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resource Officer

Pete Dyke has served as Hillenbrand's Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resource Officer since October 2020. Mr. Dyke brings more than 25 years of experience in human resources, serving most recently as Chief Human Resources Officer for Innovative Water Care, a global specialty chemicals company, from 2019 to 2020. 

Prior to that, he served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Luxfer Holdings PLC, a global materials technology company, from 2018 to 2019 and as Vice President, Human Resources at various business units of Pentair PLC, an industrial manufacturing company. Mr. Dyke’s tenure at Pentair lasted from 2004 to 2018, including Vice President, Human Resources of its Water Quality Systems Global Business Unit from 2014 to 2018. 

Mr. Dyke’s experience before Pentair included human resources roles with increasing levels of responsibility at General Electric Company, Ford Motor Company, and Valassis Communications Inc.

Kimberly K. Ryan

Kimberly K. Ryan

President of Coperion GmbH

Kimberly (Kim) Ryan has been President of Coperion GmbH since September 2015 and also oversees the Company’s Abel and Rotex businesses. Ms. Ryan was named a Senior Vice President of Hillenbrand in April 2011. Prior to being appointed President of Coperion, Ms. Ryan served as President of Batesville.

Since 2014, she has also served on the Board of Directors of Kimball International, Inc., including as a member of the Audit Committee and as Board Chair since November 2018. She was appointed to the Board of Directors of Conexus Indiana in December 2018.

Prior to joining Hillenbrand from 2006 until 2011, Ms. Ryan served as Senior Vice President, North America, Post-Acute Care of Hill-Rom Holdings. Prior to that, she held various senior and leadership roles at Hillenbrand Industries, Inc., our former parent, and its subsidiaries, including leading its Turnaround Program, Shared Services, and Information Technology from 2005 to 2007, and from 2000 to 2005 serving in roles including Vice President, Shared Services; Vice President, Batesville Business Information Systems; and Director, Enterprise Systems. Ms. Ryan began her career with Batesville in 1989, holding positions of increasing responsibility within Batesville and the Company’s former parent in finance, strategy, operations, logistics, and information technology.

Chris Trainor

President of Batesville Casket Company

Christopher (Chris) Trainor has been President of Batesville Casket Company since September 2015, after having served as Senior Vice President, CFO and Chief Administrative Officer. Mr. Trainor has also been a Senior Vice President of Hillenbrand since December 2015. He joined Batesville in 2010 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and was later assigned additional responsibilities for oversight of Human Resources and Information Technology.

Prior to joining Batesville, Mr. Trainor spent 17 years with Kraft Foods where he held a variety of finance roles in both the United States and United Kingdom.

J. Michael Whitted

J. Michael Whitted

Senior Vice President Corporate Development

J. Michael (Mike) Whitted has been Hillenbrand’s Senior Vice President Corporate Development since June 2018. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Whitted served as Vice President, Corporate Development for SPX Corporation and SPX Flow, Inc. from 2001 to 2015. Prior to that, he served as a Vice President for Bear Stearns from 1998 to 2001, where he led corporate finance and M&A advisory transactions.

Mr. Whitted’s experience prior to Bear Stearns included corporate finance and M&A advisory roles at CIBC World Markets, Bankers Trust, and First Chicago NBD.

Michael Jones

President of Milacron Injection Molding & Extrusion

Michael (Mac) Jones is President of Milacron Injection Molding & Extrusion. He previously served as President of Milacron Advanced Plastics Processing Technologies (APPT) Americas and Europe businesses since January 2019. Prior to that time, he held a number of senior leadership positions within Milacron including roles as VP of Finance & Investor Relations and Sr. VP Finance & Operations.

Before joining Milacron, he held finance positions at GE Aviation, the aerospace division of General Electric Company, from 2012 – 2015. Mr. Jones also held positions at Hill-Rom between 2004 and 2011. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Accounting, received an MBA from The Ohio State University, and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Leo Kulmaczewski

Leo Kulmaczewski

Senior Vice President, Operations Center of Excellence and HOM

Leo Kulmaczewski has served as the Corporation’s Sr. Vice President, Operations Center of Excellence and HOM since February 2021. Mr. Kulmaczewski brings more than 20 years of technical and manufacturing experience, serving most recently as Senior Vice President of Operations and Lean Enterprise of Belden Inc., a manufacturer of networking, connectivity, and cable products, from October 2018 through November 2020. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Operations, Global Supply Chain, and Danaher Business Systems at Leica Biosystems, a research, instrument, and medical device company that is a division of Danaher Corporation, from September 2016 through September 2018. During the time at Leica Biosystems, Mr. Kulmaczewski also served as Senior Director and Vice President of Operations and Site Leader, from May 2014 through September 2016. Mr. Kulmaczewski’s experience before Leica Biosystems included technical and manufacturing roles with generally increasing levels of responsibility at various other public and private manufacturing companies.

Michael (Mike) Prado

Vice President, Global Supply Management and Chief Procurement Officer

Mike Prado joined Hillenbrand in 2020 as Vice President, Global Supply Management and Chief Procurement Officer. Prior to joining the company full time, he served six months as interim Chief Procurement Officer.

Mike is responsible for driving the strategy and initiatives related to center-led procurement and helping identify and achieve savings across the organization following the acquisition of Milacron in 2019.

Before joining Hillenbrand, Mike had retired following 20 years of service at Stanley Black & Decker, most recently as Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer. Prior to that, he held several senior management positions in operations, marketing, sales and procurement at United Technologies Corporation (UTC) and Delta Airlines.

Tory Flynn

Tory Flynn

Chief Sustainability Officer

Tory Flynn has served as Hillenbrand’s Chief Sustainability Officer since March 2021. Flynn was most recently the VP of Corporate Communications at Athene, where she helped steer corporate responsibility. She first joined Hillenbrand in 2015, where she led the implementation of the company’s global corporate responsibility strategy and served on the Milacron integration team. She was instrumental in taking the company through its ESG materiality assessment, which culminated in the signing of the United Nations Global Compact in 2019.

Prior to joining Hillenbrand, she was the spokesperson and head of communications for the Indiana House of Representatives and served in a variety of government affairs roles in Washington, D.C.
